This fall we’ve been considering The Divine Invitation – the invitation to join hands with God as He goes about His saving, healing, restoring work in this world. We’ve been tagging along with Jesus as he trains the Twelve for their mission – carrying on his work after he’s gone, which turns out to be our mission, as well.

We all are looking for an experience, accomplishment or opportunity that will give us meaning and help us transcend our human experience but so many of these are false promises for something more. Jesus invites us to transcend our human experience in a surprising way.
