This Lent we will be following Jesus on his journey from Samaria to Jerusalem in a series called "On the Road." In this first message, we'll meet 3 men Jesus encountered along the way who though well intended, let other things get in the way of actually following Jesus. Have we counted the cost? Is there something holding us back or distracting us from actually hitting the road with Jesus and going where He has called us to go?

God hasn’t blessed us in with these resources so we can keep them to ourselves. He’s made us “rich in every way” so that we can be even more generous in the days to come.

Jesus didn’t present himself as one of many options for a good and meaningful life. He presented himself as the only option for a life that’s as good and meaningful as it was meant to be, and the only hope for life beyond the grave.

Did Jesus REALLY believe he was the Son of God? Other religions accept him as a prophet and good example, but not God. Many skeptics claim his deity was an invention of the early church. What did he say about himself? What should we believe about Jesus?
