The Mystery of Meaning

The promise of transcendence is that it inspires us to pursue meaning, and ultimately God.  The trap of transcendence is that we conclude there is no ultimate meaning to be found; that ALL of life and human experience is a mystery, so it’s futile to try to figure it out.
