True Love

We are all searching for a community that we can truly belong to. So many of us find ourselves on a desperate journey to find it in the face of the picture-perfect relationships we see on television or social media. The only way to find true belonging is through true love, but the Bible offers a much different picture of what that is than many think. We will explore what true love is by looking at the Apostle Paul’s words in Romans 12:9-13.

In this final session in our Life Group series we explore a tool that Jesus relied on that is often overlooked because it seems so counterintuitive: mystery. How did Jesus use mystery to - surprisingly - show the world who he was? And is that something we ought to consider for ourselves?

Jesus sometimes crossed social boundaries and did things people said he wasn’t supposed to do to teach a lesson. And we can too, but it’s important to determine the purpose of Jesus’ action so that we can know whether we should be reproducing it or not.

The Audacity of Jesus 3: Jesus, Provocateur

Jesus befriended outcasts, but there were people that he did not associate with at all. Even more than that, he provoked them. In this session we'll discover who Jesus provoked and how he went about doing so. We'll also explore whether or not this is something we should emulate in our lives and culture today.
